Curriculum Vitae

My first fulltime job was for Winerite, a beverage distributor, as a graphic designer. I created own brand beverage labels and advertising materials.

3D animation has always been my passion, which was sparked by watching pop videos such as Dire Straits ‘Money for Nothing’ and playing computer games. This lead me to Newcastle College School of Art & Design, where I studied Time Based Media. After graduating with a distinction, I landed my first 3D animator job at Creative Convergence, a Leeds based agency. Back then you needed an expensive Silicon Graphics computer to produce the goods, which this opportunity gave me. I also learnt a range of multimedia skills, which included programming.

Later I furthered my career by moving to Reflex Communications in Manchester. I was their multimedia department, doing all design, animation and programming. This included creating CD-ROMs, touchscreen kiosks, websites, 3D set designs, corporate animations and videos.

The logical next step was to setup on my own as a freelancer, which I am still doing to this day.

I have recently been collaborating with the artist Darren Neave on various projects. These can be seen on his website: www.DarrenNeave.com
